Description
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Upwork Bidder with at least 2.5 years of hands-on experience in generating leads and closing sales through Upwork. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of freelance marketplaces, outstanding communication skills, and a proven record of independently closing deals. Experience with LinkedIn lead generation and email marketing will be considered a strong advantage.
Responsibilities
- Identify potential projects and submit tailored, high-quality proposals on Upwork.
- Develop and maintain a strong Upwork profile with a high response and job success rate.
- Lead end-to-end client communication — from initial contact to own sales closing.
- Strategize and optimize bidding techniques to maximize project wins.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align proposals with services and delivery capabilities.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Track performance metrics such as proposal success rates and client conversions.
- Stay updated with trends and changes in Upwork algorithms and client preferences
Requirements
- Minimum 2.5 years of experience as an Upwork Bidder with a strong project win record.
- Demonstrated ability to close deals independently without relying on a sales team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in writing persuasive, customized proposals and handling client objections.
- Solid understanding of digital services (e.g., Web Development, Mobile Apps, Design, Marketing, etc.).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and results-focused.
Preferred/Plus Points:
- Experience with LinkedIn lead generation and outreach strategies.
- Experience with email marketing and email-based lead nurturing.
- Familiarity with other freelance platforms like Fiverr, Freelancer, PeoplePerHour, etc.
- Understanding of CRM tools and basic project management software.
