Description
- Understanding of ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon), online payment processing, and ecommerce-specific financial metrics.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor and reconcile ecommerce sales revenue, returns, and adjustments. Ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Perform regular analysis of Ecommerce-related expenses, including marketing costs, shipping, refunds, and transaction fees, and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
- Oversee the reconciliation of payments received from online transactions across various payment gateways (credit cards, PayPal, etc.), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning for the Ecommerce segment of the business.
- Provide insights into profitability, margins, and financial performance, including KPIs related to customer acquisition costs, average order value, and customer lifetime value.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulations relevant to Ecommerce businesses.
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and other departments to align financial goals with business strategies.
